A 7-segment display Project is a type of electronic display that uses seven individual light segments to show numbers. These segments can be made from LEDs, LCDs, or other technologies. By selectively turning on or off these segments, the display can show digits from 0 to 9 and sometimes even letters or symbols. They are commonly used in digital clocks, calculators, and other devices that need to display numbers.
7-segment display Project Components:
- Breadboard: This board is used to make the temporary circuits.
- LED X 14: LED is used to display the numbers.
- Jumper Wires X 58 (Male to Male): These thin wires help bridge connections between different points on the breadboard.
- Resistors X 14: Crucial for limiting current flow and protecting the LEDs from burning out. The value of the resistors depends on the voltage source and LED specifications (typically 180 ohms to 220 ohms).
- Switch X 14 : Switch is needed to on/off the LEDs.
- Power Source: This could be a battery pack or a regulated power supply.
